Description

Lockhouse 49 - box turtle trying to show his meanest face to let us know to leave him in peace. By the looks of its shell, there have been some hard times in this turtle's life, but probably not a drastic as the ones his great-grandfather had during the flood of 1924 in the 4 Locks area, the year the C & O canal ceased its operations.
